Clinical Therapist

As a dedicated clinical therapist, I am passionate about creating a supportive environment where individuals feel empowered to explore their personal narratives. My work is rooted in the belief that everyone possesses the capacity for profound growth and that the right therapeutic partnership can unlock new paths toward a fulfilling life.

A Lifelong Commitment to Community

My journey into the field of psychology began in my teens while watching my parents serve as foster parents. Growing up in a home that welcomed children of all ages taught me the importance of stability, compassion, and community support. When I took my first psychology course in high school, I realized I could turn this passion for helping others into a professional calling. Since then, I have dedicated myself to understanding the complexities of the human experience and finding effective ways to contribute positively to the lives of those around me.

Creating a Brave Space for Growth

Clients often describe my counseling style as interactive and deeply client-focused. I strive to provide a brave space where you can safely explore your feelings, thoughts, beliefs, and actions. My clinical approach is designed to foster curiosity and empowerment rather than just providing answers. The most rewarding part of my work is witnessing the incredible resilience of the human spirit. Seeing a client gain a new insight or reach a goal they once thought was out of reach is the greatest honor of being a therapist.

Empowering the Next Generation

I have centered my professional focus on working with children, teens, and young adults. My experience working with children as young as seven is deeply meaningful to me because it mirrors the environment in which I was raised. I believe that making a positive impact early in life creates a foundation for lifelong wellness. By providing youth with the tools to navigate their challenges, I aim to help them grow into confident and self-aware individuals.

Insight Rooted in Connection and Curiosity

Growing up in a small town in the thumb of Michigan taught me the value of a close-knit community and a strong support system. This background has shaped my therapeutic approach to be one of openness and genuine curiosity. I believe that understanding your unique traditions, beliefs, and cultural background is essential to our work together. By approaching every individual with an open mind, I am able to tailor our sessions to honor your specific story and worldview.

Creative Balance and Personal Growth

Outside of the clinic, I find my own balance through creativity and nature. I enjoy the quiet reflection of reading a good book, the expression found in painting, and the patience required to care for my various plants. I also cherish the time I spend with my four-legged companions. These personal passions remind me of the importance of self-care and the beauty of continuous personal growth.
