I am a licensed clinical psychologist and the director of the psychological testing and assessment department at Kendal Clinic, where I provide both individual therapy and testing services. In my therapeutic work, I collaborate with adolescents and adults facing a wide range of concerns. My main goal is to create a safe, welcoming space where clients can explore their challenges and find the tools and support needed to heal. I believe therapy is a partnership, where you, as the expert of your own life, guide our work together. It is an honor to hold space for you, help you explore your questions, and assist you in regaining control of your own healing journey.
My treatment approach is client-centered and trauma-informed, rooted in a Humanistic-Existential orientation, and informed by interventions from Polyvagal Theory, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical-Behavioral Therapy (DBT). With experience in diverse settings—private practice, university counseling, community mental health, and partial hospitalization programs—I bring a broad and integrative approach to our work together.
Guided by Midwest Values of Resilience and Empathy
I am a born-and-raised Michigan native, growing up near Lake St. Clair. I’ve been fortunate to attend university in Detroit and pursue graduate school and training programs that emphasize the importance of diversity. I am always striving toward multicultural competency, maintaining awareness of my own biases and privileges as a White, cisgender woman.
I am particularly passionate about supporting individuals navigating women’s health concerns, LGBTQIA+ issues, identity development, sexual trauma, complex trauma, PTSD, relationship abuse, and anxiety. My clinical work is grounded in the belief that everyone deserves to feel safe, autonomous, and empowered in their journey toward healing. I approach therapy with respect for each individual’s unique experiences and identities, aiming to create a space where you feel seen, heard, and supported.
Embracing Life’s Simple Joys
Outside of my professional life, I enjoy reading, gardening, and cooking. I also love playing video games and exploring local antique shops. I’m always on the lookout for hidden treasures. It’s important to me in my time outside of the office to stay balanced and grounded, embracing both quiet moments and exciting adventures.
