As a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in Metro Detroit, I am dedicated to helping individuals navigate the complexities of mental health with clarity and confidence. My work is built on a foundation of deep clinical experience and a belief that everyone deserves to feel seen, understood, and empowered in their journey toward wellness.

Inspired to Lead with Empathy and Evidence

My path to becoming a psychiatric nurse practitioner was not defined by a single moment. Instead, it was a calling that grew stronger with every patient I encountered. From my early years in the community to my time as an inpatient psychiatric nurse, I witnessed firsthand how profoundly anxiety, depression, and trauma can impact a person’s life. These experiences shaped my commitment to providing compassionate, evidence-based care. Being invited into the healing process and helping people reclaim their lives is a profound honor.

A Collaborative Approach to Sustainable Healing

Clients often describe my clinical style as calm, practical, and deeply collaborative. I do not believe in one-size-fits-all solutions. Instead, I approach medication management as a shared decision-making process. We work together to find treatment options that are effective, sustainable, and aligned with your personal goals. The most rewarding part of this work is witnessing change, whether it is a subtle shift in perspective or a profound breakthrough, and seeing my clients find relief from challenges that once felt insurmountable.

Thoughtful Management for Real Results

I was naturally drawn to the conditions I encountered most frequently early in my career, including anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and trauma. I realized these were areas where people often felt overlooked or misunderstood. My goal is to bridge that gap by providing thoughtful medication management alongside other treatment modalities. Whether you are navigating a difficult life transition or managing a chronic condition, I am here to provide the clinical expertise and support you need to move forward.

Understanding Rooted in Community and Culture

I grew up in Metro Detroit within a hardworking and supportive community where “tough love” was a way of life. That upbringing taught me the invaluable skill of listening deeply and meeting people exactly where they are. I recognize that culture, family, and environment are the threads that weave each person’s story. In my work, I strive to understand your unique values and worldview so that we can tailor a treatment plan that truly fits your life and honors your heritage.

Exploring Life Beyond the Clinic

Outside of my clinical work, I find balance through movement and connection. You will often find me running, spending time in nature, or enjoying quality time with my loved ones. I am a lifelong learner, whether I am teaching myself Spanish, learning the guitar, or diving into the Bible and classic literature. I also love bringing creativity into the kitchen by experimenting with new cuisines to share with family and friends. These pursuits keep me energized and remind me of the importance of growth in every stage of life.
