ADHD Assessment

Thoughtful ADHD Evaluations That Lead to Empowered Care

ADHD evaluations help us understand the why behind the struggle. Through clinical interviews, behavioral assessments, rating scales, and a continuous performance test, we gather the insight needed to clarify diagnosis and guide personalized, effective treatment recommendations.

ADHD assessments can offer much-needed clarity for individuals and families seeking answers. Whether you’re exploring a diagnosis for yourself or your child, our evaluation process is thorough, supportive, and designed to provide meaningful insight.

A Thoughtful Start: The Intake Appointment

Your journey begins with an intake appointment with our licensed psychologist, Dr. Brittany Rutland. During this one-hour meeting, Dr. Rutland will gather detailed background information, answer your questions, and determine which assessments will be most helpful for your unique situation. At the end of this session, you’ll schedule a full testing day.

What to Expect on Testing Day

Testing is conducted by one of our experienced master’s-level psychologists. A typical testing session takes 3 to 4 hours and may include additional time if further evaluation is needed. The assessment process includes a combination of self-report questionnaires, parent or teacher reports (if applicable), examiner-administered tasks, and computerized tests—all aimed at providing a full picture of attention, focus, and executive functioning.

Your Report: A Compass for What’s Next

Once testing is complete, you can expect a finalized report within 3 to 4 weeks. Dr. Rutland will meet with you again for a feedback session, where she’ll review your results, answer any remaining questions, and walk you through personalized recommendations. You’ll also receive a copy of the full report to take home.

At The Kendal Clinic, we understand how overwhelming it can feel to be caught in a current of uncertainty. Our goal is to help you find calmer waters with insight, guidance, and clarity. These evaluations serve as a compass—pointing you toward the next best step in your journey.
