Samantha Hazelton, MS, MA, TLLP
I am a truly integrative and eclectic therapist. I use many tools in my toolbox to help my clients and their families achieve their goals. For example, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) is a tool I use for clients with anxiety and negative thinking; Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a tool I use to help with emotional regulation, and Psychodynamic Therapy is the best tool for processing emotions and events. I love using art and play therapy techniques with my youngest clients (ages 0-10), and I love working with motivated parents on helping their kids and teens thrive in this difficult environment.
I also offer intensive psychotherapy in YOUR home for clients who need a little more help than traditional office-based therapy, and who are either transitioning home from residential care or trying to avoid out-of-home placements. I also love home-based therapy and psychoeducation for teens who are struggling with eating disorders and their care-givers who need to understand how they can help them.
What Inspires Me
“Even if you only bring hope and healing to one person, that person belongs to a family, and that family belongs to a community”.
