My name is James Walla, I was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan and now reside in Livonia, Michigan. I completed my undergraduate nursing education at Madonna University in 2008 and graduated from Wayne State University with a master’s of science in nursing in the summer of 2020. After graduating I began practicing at Michigan Medicine in the ambulatory psychiatry department prior to joining the team at the Kendal Clinic. I also teach psychopharmacology in the graduate school of nursing at Wayne State University. If I am not playing golf or ice hockey, I can be found spending time with my newfoundland dog named Walter.
At the Kendal Clinic, my mission as a practitioner is to provide clinically accurate psychiatric evaluation and management of various psychiatric conditions including but not limited to: major depressive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, bipolar
disorder, schizophrenia, OCD, autism spectrum disorder, PTSD, and ADHD. I pride myself on providing safe, evidence based psychiatric care to patients across the lifespan. My goal is to provide patients the tools necessary to enhance their lives and reach their personal goals.
